IDIL at the Galileo Conference: Fibre Optic Sensing in Geosciences – August 31 – September 4, 2026
We are delighted to announce that IDIL will be present at the Galileo Conference on Fibre Optic Sensing in Geosciences, taking place from August 31 to September 4, 2026, in Aussois, France. This premier event brings together geoscientists, photonics experts, instrument manufacturers, and fiber optic network providers to discuss the latest advances in fiber optic sensing technologies applied to Earth sciences.
Our Engineering Manager, Lionel Quétel, will represent IDIL at the conference and will present two contributions covering ocean seafloor monitoring and submarine cable strain sensing.
An oral presentation on ocean seafloor monitoring
On Wednesday, September 2, at 08:50, Lionel will co-present the talk “The MOST project: Monitoring Ocean Seafloor Temperature and currents using fiber optic sensing in shallow shelf seas” by Marc-André Gutscher et al., selected as an oral lecture in Session 3 – New frontiers using fibre sensing: from laboratories to space.
