Discover AION
AION uses line illumination through a slit pinhole and camera-based detection — rather than the traditional point illumination and single PMT detector found in conventional confocal microscopes. This approach enables high temporal resolution of up to 100 images per second beyond 500 µm depth, while significantly reducing phototoxicity.
You can also integrate AION into any widefield microscope, transforming it into a fast and advanced confocal line-scanning system. AION is equipped with a switchable pinhole, allowing it to adapt its confocality to a wide range of objectives, from 30x to 100x.
AION delivers high-contrast images even from thick specimens such as organoids, tissue samples, and plant or animal model organisms. Its low-power laser operating conditions are gentle on living samples, making it ideal for long-term experiments and imaging scenarios with low fluorescence signals.
With phototoxicity being one of the biggest challenges for researchers, AION is the ideal tool for imaging your live biological specimens.
