Product description
We provide a wide range of high quality sapphire optical fibers. Sapphire is a chemical and scratch resistant material with a melting point of 2,072°C.
Sapphire fiber have length limitation (2 meters) and are really difficult to polish. Our company uses dedicated polishing machines for this process; single crystal fiber pigtail, end fiber shapings, protective jacket and any connectors are available on demand.

Applications
Their unique physical and chemical properties can be employed in various high-technology applications. These fibers are also interesting because they offer a very good flexibility. Indeed, the flexibility of the fiber varies as the inverse 4th power of the diameter. For example, a 100μm fiber is 16 times more flexible than a 200μm fiber.
