Our divisions

IDIL designs and manufactures tailored fiber optics assemblies for a variety of challenging applications, including medical optical probes and aerospace ruggedized harnesses. We guarantee not only customization but also exceptional performance thanks to high-grade fiber tips.

Fiber optic assemblies
We can coil any types of optical fibers and put them in different packaging: coils, strands, plates, reels, suitcases. Moreover, our automatic winding machines allow us to coil optical fiber while adjusting its tension from 20g to 2kg. We can create several tensions on the same stand and with the same optical fiber as well.

Fiber optic coils and reels
Optical fiber components are essential in managing and manipulating light in various optical systems. These include delay management components like time delay coils, optical delay lines, and fiber stretchers, as well as active and passive elements such as variable optical attenuators, Fiber Bragg Gratings, and tunable FBG.

Submodules assemblies offer versatile solutions for integrating optical components into larger systems. These include enclosures housing couplers, isolators, and switches, as well as custom integrations based on detailed drawings or OEM requirements, available as stand-alone or free modules.

Contaminants, such as dirt, dust, oil, grease and debris, are the leading cause of power loss and signal degradation in fiber optic ferrules and connectors. IDIL presents a full range of solutions for optical fiber inspection and dry cleaning.

Inspection & Cleaning accessories
IDIL is the world leader in Photonic Doppler Velocimeters and has developed the 1st industrial heterodyne velocimetry measurement rack, as part of a transfert with the CEA. This technology finds its applications in the fields of detonics and plasmas.

Shock physics
IDIL develops a new generation of systems and components for opto-pyrotechnics technology. A complete Opto-Pyro line includes a Laser Firing Unit (LFU), emitting a NIR light pulse travelling through a ground Optical Harness (OH) to the target, i.e. an IOP or a DOP into launchers, thrusters, missiles or explosives.

Opto-pyrotechnics
As many of our customers face very individual and demanding challenges regarding their applications, standard sensors may not lead to satisfying results. Thus, we design and manufactured specific FBG sensors, Brillouin distributed sensors and Fabry-Pérot sensors.

Fiber sensing
Key products in this field, such as fiber stretchers and dynamic delay compensation systems, are essential for fine-tuning optical paths and maintaining accurate measurements in applications like sensing, telecommunications, and metrology.

Fibered interferometry
IDIL designs and develops high power laser seeding sources such as front-end lasers and seeders for Q-switched lasers.

Seeders & Laser sources
IDIL develops a series of fiber-based educational kits for students in technical schools and engineering colleges. These kits help students explore fundamental physics principles through experiments and analyze complex physical phenomena for related applications.

TLS combine a broad-band light source with a monochromator, allowing for continuous wavelength adjustments and precise control of the output spectrum. TLS are typically used for applications like photochemistry, solar cell testing and fluorescence measurements.

Monochromatic tunable light sources
Excellent turn-key fiber-coupled scientific lasers: hands-off operation, large mode-hop free tuning range with patented cavity, narrow linewidth, fiber coupled motorized versions (also available in free space and manual version).

Confocal microscopy is widely used in biology and biomedical sciences because of the improved contrast it provides compared to traditional widefield fluorescence microscopy.
