The low-speed shock simulator is a simple electro-optical device designed to mimic the acceleration and impact of a projectile. When connected to your PDV system, it enables accurate velocimetry measurements (~6 m/s). This allows the user to verify that the entire measurement chain is fully functional (triggering, digitizer, PDV system). Additionally, this simulator is an excellent educational tool for training future users.
FEATURES
The movable reflector, positioned in front of an optical probe, is driven by a set of electromagnets across three speed settings. The trigger can function as either an input or an output.
