Volume Bragg Grating Diode Lasers (VBG MICRON)

Product description

VBG Micron are ultra compact tunable external cavity diode lasers, used in applications which require an ultra-stable laser with a compact size, an excellent tuning behavior and narrow linewidth. They can be used for absorption spectroscopy, front end laser in metrology, optical cooling and trapping, Bose-Einstein condensate, Raman spectroscopy, process control or medical and biological research.

  • Fiber coupled: complete manual module with isolator, PM fiber and FC/APC connector
  • Free-space: free-space collimated laser (Butterfly or TO39)
  • Output power: > 120 mW; High power version > 500 mW
  • Wavelength: 461 nm to 2051 nm
  • Ultra stable diode laser: no moving parts, no mechanic cavity resonances, low temperature drift
  • Compact: micro-tunable x-cavity (similar to DFB size)
  • Narrow linewidth: < 100 kHz @ 1 ms: 3 kHz instantaneous
  • Piezo Tuning: 6-12 GHz depending on wavelength (~pm/mA)
  • Thermal Drift: < 100 MHz/°C
  • Free space divergence: 5 mrad (typical)
